Here it is after 2 months with all the live rock in and all the lighting setup. I'm very pleased with how its looking, and very happy with how the aquascaping turned out. Comments would be fantastic!

Those cone shaped obviously used to house a type live spongy thing. Not sure exactly what they are but were everywhere in australia and sharp as heck on the rocks.

Those "cone shapes" are barnacles.

This aquarium looks so natural, I love it.

Ya, i've been really happy with the barnacles. The idea was that they would be a great place for blennys/gobys to hide out in, and sure enough, they love them. theres a blenny in one of the top barnacles in the center column. not sure if you can see him in this pic though.

What does a surface skimmer do? (probably an obvious answer to that one, but maybe not?). how can you tell i need one?

Awesome rock work! Wow! It is so natural looking!! Your critters are going to be really happy!

How did you put your rock work together and get it to stay together? Did you use putty, rods, chip away at the rocks or are they just resting on each other? Do you take the rocks out ever? We have to take our rocks out of our tank once in a while so we can clean. I was wondering how hard it is if you do the same? Thanks! :) I love your tank!!

We used putty for the center column, but other than that everything is just resting on each other. it can be very difficult to remove even one rock because they can all coming crashing down. i havent taken the rocks out to clean yet, but thats because the tank has only been together for 4 months now. i dont plan on taking the rocks out though, i'd like it to stay that way and really get some good growth started.

Thanks for the compliments. I have some other pics that are better. I took this one with an old point and shoot camera. it looks alot better with my new dlsr camera

I am awarding you an honorary degree in underwater architectural engineering!

Looks like a submersed Greek temple!
