Ya its saltwater. Im going to let it cycle for about a month or so. If not a clown what fish could I put in there?

should have waited til after the cycle to add hermits or a mushroom and no clown. i say no fish but if you insist get the smallest goby you can find and keep up on water changes.

what are the negative effects of having put the hermits and mushroom in so soon?

also what about a firefish or a really small tomato clown?

negative effects are they might die. or be really stressed as they swim around in ammonia. no firefish, no clown of any type.

yeah man no clown fish. i think the smallest recommended tank for a clown is 8-10 gal.

Not too sure on a firefish, but i think a small goby is what you are limitd to
