MushiMushi Posted January 18, 2008 It's a pretty cool zeroedge. His tank is real nice but I would probably recommend hiding the power strips and cable better. I mean the entire idea of having a zero edge is for the clean look. You're almost there buddy! Nice tank Quote Link to comment
Choadmeyer Posted January 18, 2008 Looking good Hoob, just hide that gangle of power cords. Have you gotten around to de-ghettofying your lighting? Last time I saw it, it was a mess. Quote Link to comment
Hoobahans Posted January 18, 2008 Yeah, the problem is that I can't do any actual drilling/structural work in my dorm room and the wiring is limited so I am relatively stuck with the power cords out there. Also, I have to move the tank every semester so doing anything to involved isn't too feasible. Also the lighting is staying as it is...unfortunately. I thought about investing in better lights but I would rater spend it on coral, it's an either or deal... However, I discovered the glory of cable ties and that has made my lighting/wiring at least a little nicer looking! I'm thinking of moving the wiring next to the tank lower but the water splashed when I put my hand into the tank and the last thing that I want is water on the electrical equipment. I really want to drill a hole in the cabinet next to the stand and put all the electrics into it, but that would cost me dearly when I check out of my room... Sadly I will be the first to admit the the set-up isn't perfect by any means and the lighting/wiring is butt ugly. Quote Link to comment
Choadmeyer Posted January 20, 2008 No one has a perfect set-up. I've been planning on setting up my 65g for months now, but as a college student myself, I know that just as soon as everything starts looking nice it will be time to move out of my apartment. I made due by setting up a nice little 29g, which I plan to transfer the contents of to the 65g after my next move. Quote Link to comment
