I think its funny you drilled for the outflow but didnt drill places for the return pipes. You just hang em over the edge.

personally if ur goin to do high flow with a durso style horizontal overflow, put an elbow in, then pvc up to surface skim. may be louder, but it may give high flo thru and also benefit by surface skimming.
