sport4doug Posted July 11, 2007 nice picture but, no pink on the rocks,no snails, no crabs, and look at the sand bed, it all must be very new, nice looking fish, maybe it will work in a F.O.W.L.R. tank. I've gotta rate it a 7 just for the picture and the debate. Quote Link to comment
crazinezz978 Posted July 11, 2007 if it works for him, i dont see why everyone else minds. it probably looks amazing with that fish movement. His rock probably doesnt have the piink or purple cuz its a FOWLR tank, and he probably only has low lighting which doesnt encourage the growth or coralline algae Quote Link to comment
StevieT Posted July 11, 2007 Everyone is an expert. My guess, the owner of this tank (or the one that takes care of it) is the one we should be asking advice from! Quote Link to comment
coraln'fish Posted July 11, 2007 Dang, if that's real then he has well over a few thoushand dollars worth of fish. It would be awesome at feeding time though. Hopefully he knows what he's doing, I would hate to see an Imperator Angel Die. Quote Link to comment
wildernesstank Posted July 13, 2007 where is this guy, the one that posted this pic ? Quote Link to comment
LoBo Posted July 13, 2007 doesnt matter, they dont have enough room to swim or grow. Quote Link to comment
John30507 Posted July 13, 2007 If you look on the left side of the pic, it looks like the reflection of another tank??? Quote Link to comment
Helfrichs Chick Posted July 13, 2007 OMG I really hope this is photoshopped. I dont care how big the tank is some of those species just should not be together. Wow, amazing that people will scarifice animals just for their amusement. Again I think and HOPE this is photoshopped. Quote Link to comment
Conz Posted July 14, 2007 wow..alot of hating going on..u guys r just jealous!!! Quote Link to comment
robbie Posted July 14, 2007 i tried to rate this a 1 again but they wont let me. Quote Link to comment
Billabong_Fish Posted July 14, 2007 looks like shit, it would look better if there wernt as many fish. its all fun and games until the tank crashes and you have killed thousands of generations of fish Quote Link to comment
MWafler Posted July 14, 2007 naw, thats definaetly real. The way the light diffracts off the fish and the perspective/depth of the tank would be really hard to fake..... Quote Link to comment
DKreefkeepers Posted July 15, 2007 that is too small of a space for that many fish PERIOD. I see several large adult angels that do NOT get along together in spaces that small. Quote Link to comment
grmanrocks Posted July 18, 2007 i dont get all the flames and whatnot. filtration works wonders my freinds. even if this guy just has like a 100 gallon sump and a few cansiters, and a high end skimmer i see no reason why this wouldnt work the filers will increase the bacterial bensity within them to reach the bioload of the tank, only thing that would be a negetive side effect would be the copious nitrates, that with enough water changes would be neglegible, if the guy is doing daily 30-40 gallon water chnges i can see this beeing a thriving tank. stop raggin on some one for breaking convention. it is sad to see so many fish pulled from the vast ocean and placed in a samll tank, but wherther they come from the ocean to a 1000 gallon or a 240, as long as the water is still pristine, it doesnt matter congrats man, you are doing something right Quote Link to comment
brandon7491 Posted July 18, 2007 the only thing hes doing right is givving his lfs money Quote Link to comment
Choadmeyer Posted July 21, 2007 when it crashes, not if, $10,000+ down the drain... Quote Link to comment
TYMRZRCAT Posted July 22, 2007 i agree that to many fish i dont care if its 240g its still to many fish in one tank and even if his filter cost more than his house its still over crowded that is sad for all those fish how would you feel if you were crammed like they are .... and if its fake still whats the point!!!!!!! lol well anyways hi guys u rock Quote Link to comment
LittleCubeDude9391 Posted July 22, 2007 I like the look of it personally. It is very clean but is a FOWLER tank so no coralline really isnt odd. The filtation could be ammazingand beable to handel that bio-load. That still isnt enogh space for that many/kind of fish in the display in my opion. Quote Link to comment
Diskusting Posted July 28, 2007 Its fake you can see the brush strokes around the rocks and fish from photoshop. The reflection almost had me until I noticed the brushing. Must have took a long time, but great reactions. Quote Link to comment
