amir Posted March 14, 2003 Share Posted March 14, 2003 I am in the process of building an oak canopy and was trying to find out what is a safe finish that I can coat the outside and inside of my canopy with. I am thinking that there has to be some sort of polyeurathane that is non-toxic after it has completely dried off. Any one out there have any information on this, will be greatly appreciated. skipm Posted March 14, 2003 Share Posted March 14, 2003 Look for a finish that is labeled as being food safe and you will have no problems with anything leaching out of it. You can look for products such as butcher block finish as one example. Link to comment
