Xavier
Oh.. well that makes a world of difference .. I think 30 gallons is a incredibly small for these guys... they need 150-200 gallons... Nor would I probably add fish to this because the only thing I could imagine putting in with them are lionfish or puffers which also require 100+ tanks... are you window shopping? or do you have them already? They really should probably kept in species tanks much larger then what you currently have Link to comment
drake
im just looking for now, if you pick Aquarium Fish magazine (April) it has an article about nano-reefs it says that 2 will do fine in a 10 gallon. Their max. size is 7inches But it doesnt say much about what else can be in the same tank. I appriciate the help Link to comment
Xavier
Goldens are of the genus Gymnothorax... do you know which species they are talking about? Link to comment

Xavier
http://www.fishbase.org/summary/SpeciesSum...ary.cfm?id=7284 Anything larger then it's maximum size should be safe... That's an interesting one.. most Gymnothorax get well over 5 feet in length... did you find these online? or at a local store? Link to comment

Xavier
Just doing some google searches brings all kinds of info on it, and some online retailers... at ~$300 each, a bit pricey for that tiny of an eel... Here's another article with them in it: http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2002-12/fm/ Link to comment
Xavier
btw.. one last comment... eels are escape artists.. eel proof tanks should be used if you end up getting one... Link to comment
