Prowland
Here is the tank: I know the water level is off and all but I am working on a stand as we speak. I am also not going to have all the equipment in there as I am going to add another PH and remove the extra HOB and the Internal filters. I am going to try a BB this time. It has all the stuff that was in my 5.5gal in it. I am going to turn the 5.5gal into a refugium for this 10gal. I am holding a clown for my mothers tank and thought it was the very least I could do is not keep them in a 5.5gal. To bad I had to do this befor the contest as I did want to enter it. Put the water in too soon!! ooops What is the best HOB to run a BB in?? I am going to keep my posts in the pico section as I dont think it qualifies for the not so nano section. Off to work! here are a few more pics: Link to comment

Prowland
So I am going to be updating this thread right now!! I was wanting to enter the contest but as my adding skills are lacking I purchased the wrong equipment and like the additional flow that the JBJ dual output has. That along with the fact that I drank my money for an additionl 40W light, that the contest required, I have decided to withdrawl from the comp. These are not the most up to date pics as I have shipped out about 90% of the Gorgonia to Jeremai, mvite, and Tex this morning! Sorry Argent I painted the background black for the contest. I still have the background and I will get used on another project so don't worry! I have also started dosing with Oceans Blend 2 part system. So here is how the tank stands now: Set-up: 1x AC 50 turned into a fuge but no light on it yet (200gph) about (130gph with the mod i think) 1x JBJ 1300 dual output (240gph) So that is 35x turnover The fish seem to love it! 1x 65W Satalite CF 1x soap dish with cheato in it until the fuge light get put up 16-18lbs of LR 3/4in sand bed from Tropic Eden That is the cleanest sand I have ever seen!! 1x 50W Titanium Finnex heater Livestock: 2x False Percula Clownfish 1x High Finned Red Banded Goby 1x Pepperment Shrimp 1x Coral Banded shrimp 2x Scarlet Hermit 2x Blue leg Hermits 1x Black and White Haw Hermit 4x Nassarius Snails 1x Baha Snail 1x Nerite Snail Several other baby snails and some that I cant remember Coral: 1x Orange Cup Coral 1x Candycane Coral 1x Zoo rock that has a lot of HA on it from the LFS 2x Shrooms 1x Orange Gorgonia Cooming soon: 1x Anemone from Jeremai 1x Zoo Rock from Mvite The moment you have all been waiting for............................... Thanks for looking and as always I welcom any comments good or bad!! Link to comment
reefone
hey prowland how u like the yellow gorg. and how long have u had it.i cant seem to keep the algea from building up on mine.bout to get rid of it Link to comment
Prowland
reefone: I am under the impression that they like intense flow. I have best results placing mine either in the path of the PH or by the glass right where the flow reflects off of. With all this being said.... I have had them about 3 weeks so not long enough to form a educated answer. I just wipe them off when I am messing in the tank. I have also seen a hermit climb one stalk a attempt to eat some of the algae but fell off before he got high enough. I think its worth it to give it a cleaning once and a while because of how awsome it looks when all the little polyps are out! Link to comment
Prowland
Not a pico I know.... I just like the company here and didnt think the 10gal was large enough for the large reef section. Link to comment
15-and-6-GAL-NANO
gorgonians like lots of flow and not much light. I really want one in my 2.5 but there is nowhere that doesnt have a ton of light. Link to comment
Prowland
Mine dont seem to be botherd by the light I have some right at the top of the tank and some in the shade. Both open up fully and are doing just fine. The orange gorgonia I have is non-photosynthetic. Link to comment

Lets see if I can remember the names.... Wammin Watermelon Kedd Redd RPE with a color morph Mint Palys Yellow ctr That is what the packages said I think.
