wetworx101 Posted March 13, 2003 Share Posted March 13, 2003 The reason people are running their fuges 24/7 is because when they are off, the macro actually releases CO2 which can turn water acidic, and cause other mayhem while the lights are off in the main tank. Some people run their fuges opposite their main tank to offset this effect, but then the question becomes: why turn off the light ever? Why not leave the lights on 24/7 and reap the benefits of constant excess nutrient absorbtion with the fuge...??? And so there you have it. Link to comment
