Hello everyone,

Can anyone recommend a light fixture to light up a 12" cpr refugium? If possible could I get some links to websites?

Thanks,

Thanks for all the help. I think I know the answer to this but what bulb would be best, a 6500k, 50/50. I would think the 6500k.

Thanks,

The reason people are running their fuges 24/7 is because when they are off, the macro actually releases CO2 which can turn water acidic, and cause other mayhem while the lights are off in the main tank. Some people run their fuges opposite their main tank to offset this effect, but then the question becomes: why turn off the light ever? Why not leave the lights on 24/7 and reap the benefits of constant excess nutrient absorbtion with the fuge...??? And so there you have it.

When I set mine up, I bought a JBJ clamp-on that came with a 50/50. Use it all the time, and love it. Macro growin' like mad. Not that it's stopping my hair algae, mind you, but it's growin' like mad.

Go to www.jbjlighting.com and check out their clamp light.
