What do most people do in this situation? I can handle day to day maintenance but if I am not there what do I need to do. Link to comment

jcm1229 Posted March 14, 2003 Share Posted March 14, 2003 Here's a pic of my topoff system For my topoff system I bought a floatvalve switch from california reefs $24. minijet404 pump $12 5 qt tupperware container $4 soft tubing, clamps and a hard plastic u-tube $8 So for $48 I have an efficient auto top-off system. All I have to do i keep the reservoir filled. I drilled a hole in the top of my hob filter and "hooked"it in there, making sure that it is well above the water level in the filter so that I don't create a siphon when the pump shuts off. I got the idea and info from the california reefs website. Let me know if you need more info. Link to comment
