sjpresley Posted March 13, 2003 Share Posted March 13, 2003 It seems to lack definitive structructure, which even encrusting sponges usually have....so it probably is dead tissue. Tunicates usually shrink into nothingness without leaving any residue (as they have little tissue to begin with). If it gets bigger, it's probably a sponge. If is shrinks, it's dead...and it'll be pretty hard at this point to tell what it was. Link to comment
