SeaFish Posted March 9, 2003 Share Posted March 9, 2003 my alk drops about 1.26dKH in over a 24 hour period. it drops form a 9.6 to a 8.32dKH. is this normal. i keep my calcium at 450ppm and my ph is about 8.2-8.6 depending on when i test it. always higher when tested later in the day. i have some button polyps, zooanthids, corcea clam, two spawn corals and a few mushrooms. i do a one gallon water change once every two weeks and my tank is a 20 gallon reef tank. i have 144 watts of light and about 25lb of live rock and 35lb of live sand. is my drop in alk normal????? i top off about 1/3 of a gallon each day. is my drop in alk normal???
