Crimper Posted March 8, 2003 Share Posted March 8, 2003 You guys arent going to believe this my tank that i had just began to set up cracked!!!! water everywhere!!!!! luckily its still in the very early stages of being setup and I had just placed in the saltwater. now its back to the store to buy a new aquaium I think that the seal around the top was ######. and when i put my newly made hood on it, it cracked. oh well such is life. Nishant3789 Posted March 8, 2003 Share Posted March 8, 2003 did u fill up the tank with fresh water first? thats always a good idea. just to make sure there are no leaks, then tap the topand put some pressure in different areas to maek sure its stabel. i always do that with new tanks nishant Link to comment
Dave ESPI Posted March 8, 2003 Share Posted March 8, 2003 always fill a tank slowly and use tepid water. the seams need time to adjust to the new pressure. clean up the pieces, and take it back. there should be a warnt-e agains breakage at LEAST for 90 days. Link to comment
