jeremai
My buddy is having me set up a 120 for him, and I'm kinda lost. Anyone give me pointers on sump and return pump size? There won't be a fuge, at least not immediately, just need room for the skimmer; a 20L seems too small, but a 40B seems too big... Thanks! Link to comment
bdare
Should be at least 10-20% of the tank volume. Link to comment
jeremai
So the 20 long would work at the minimum. Should probably go larger for a fuge in the future. Thanks! Link to comment
bdare
Personally I would get the biggest tank you can for a sump. Gives you more flexibility and greater water volume for keeping more animals, and less drastic swings if something goes bad. Link to comment
Nanomaniac
Go with a 50g(36x18x18). IMO. Link to comment
jeremai
Ok, looks like it'll be a 40 regular, fts in the stand. What size return should I be looking for? Link to comment
bdare
THIS PUMP and if the tank isn't drilled, get THIS Link to comment
