Hawkeye
My live rock is going great. Last night I found a spot on the rock that is about the size of a pencil eraser. It looks like an orange to orange red color that looks transparent. It also has three or four small tenticle type tube openings that it shortens and lengthens. So far its the only spot I have of it. I hope it is'nt aptacia. Link to comment
tinyreef
it could be a sponge. i used to think they were some type of sea squirt but reading thru steve tyree's Porifera (book of sponges) it matches up very nicely to a type of sponge he catalogues in there. it's harmless as far as i know and my specimens have never done any harm altho they tend to ebb and flow health-wise. i don't have the book in front of me now so i couldn't ID it for you. it isn't crazy expensive and is a good book even just based upon it's ID usage for various hitchhiking sponges and stuff. http://www.dynamicecomorphology.com/ hth Link to comment
