DongShenYin
When mixing salt, is it better to use the whole box so that anything that gets separated goes in, or to do one gallon at a time whenever you change the water? Link to comment
Aggie05
Only mix what you need. I will mix a gallon the day before my water change in a 5 gallon bucket. I put the water in, put the salt in, and then i use a little power head to circulate the water until the next day. That way the water is very well mixed when you are ready for it. Just make sure to check the SG before adding it to the tank. Link to comment
Chamkeeper
Dave, please include a point....or proper advice... Although, many a brain cell has been lost trying to figure out which one is "Monty" Link to comment
OscarBeast
Dave's point is that this needs to go in the beginner forum. Secondly, this question is answered in the nano-reef.com articles which means this individual hasn't bothered to read them. Didn’t you get that from his image? LOL http://www.nano-reef.com/articles/waterchanges.php <--- how to mix your salt is included. The rest of the articles are here: http://www.nano-reef.com/articles/ Please read them and feel free to use the forum search button up top. Good luck. Link to comment
DongShenYin
Ok ok sorry! Lol I'll read the articles and the forum posts again... I just read books too, and they give different opinions about it, so I was wondering what nano keepers do. Link to comment
PFB
In his defense, I have also read that you should mix the entire box at one time. I follow Aggie's advice to the letter. Link to comment
DongShenYin
At least I didn't ask "which salt is better?" hehe Link to comment
