salvatore Posted March 5, 2003 Share Posted March 5, 2003 I have a Marineland Systems hex 5 gallon nano and am looking for a lighting solution for it. The existing setup will only hold a 15w florescent bulb (or a 50w pc, which is what I have in there now). The 50w PCs out there obviously have a low kelvin rating, as they are pretty yellow in color. I havent seen a bulb thats higher in k rating I can just screw in the existing socket, and Im guessing I have to replace the whole thing. The space in this hood is limited to about six inches or so, and Im hesitant to order anything online without being able to see if it'll really fit first. Anyone using a hex tank, or used one before? I dont need anything too high end, just enough to keep a nice white or blue tint to the tank and then get some corals in it as the system ages. Link to comment
