FateX9 Posted August 25, 2006 Share Posted August 25, 2006 i believe the 40 has a fan on it which is noisy from what ive heard so between the two i would say the mag 12 but there are some ext pumps that are dead silent like the velocity pumps, but they do add a little more heat Link to comment

Plus its like 10 bux more, and 200gph more. My friend has one, and I have the iwaki md40rxlt( which Is way too loud)... imo, good luck, Mike Link to comment
