SplendidWarrior
Just got a feather duster from the LFS and wants to know what's its common and scientific names. The radiole color is violet unlike the usual brown ones I usually see. The crown spread is about 3 inches and its got a grey colored soft tube. Its also not as jumpy as the other feather dusters I see. Anyone knows what's its called? Link to comment
sjpresley
Does it have 3 whirls? I have one....and have looked and looked and have found neither common nor scientific name. If you do let me know. Link to comment
SplendidWarrior
No, it doesn't have 3 whirls like the those with a hard tube. Anybody....? Link to comment
sjpresley
Mine has 3 whirls AND a soft tube....it is hard to see but you can make out the typical soft brown tube going back to the upper left corner of the image. Link to comment
SplendidWarrior
The whirls on mine are not as pronounced as yours and they also doesn't stack up in tiers. The violet color is also much deeper on mine. Funny thing is this duster is not as 'shy' as the others and I can actually touch its crown. Link to comment
sjpresley
Mine all start out shy and usually get used to being touched by fish, snails, hermits, and such so that they usually will stay open all the time after a month or so. Link to comment
