trudismith
I have a 20 gal. tank with some live sand and rock, 2 cinnamon clowns, one bi-color blenny, various small snails and crabs, and a small E. quadricolor anemone. I also have a few spriggs of caleurpa and would like to add to that with other kinds of hearty macroalgae to achieve a densely planted tank. Does anybody have suggestions on the advisability of doing this, the availability of macroalgae, and good sources for interesting varieties. Link to comment
Dave ESPI
Hi Trudi, I still have some nice eelgrass rocks from your tank, but AFAIC witht the algaes, you will need more light to keep other soerts and a nitrate and higher nutrient load to support them. Sargassum is readily obtainable, as well as mangroves soon. http://www.reeftopia.com/Marine_Plants17826.html http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navc...q=Marine+plants about All I know off off teh top my head. I have some racemosa for ya too. ttyl. Link to comment
Crakeur
inlandaquatics.com has a huge selection of macros. If you want a densley populated tank, take some of my caulerpa and wait a week. You should have a box of algae. I am yanking a 1/2 a cup every two weeks and the crap just keeps growing. Link to comment
