SaltyDawg Posted March 2, 2003 Share Posted March 2, 2003 In my ever lasting search to find a balast that will light up the hello.com 13w 50/50 bulbs i have found one and a VERY CHEAP one you can get localy from the hardware store!!!!!!!!! Any magnetic ballast that will handel 13-20 watts with a max rating of.3 to .350 ampheres. They are available at lowes and home depote for like 3 bucks!!!!! NO STARTER REQUIRED! You dont even have to buy a light socket for them. Just go to the electrical section and buy a small box of round female conectors some wires nuts and some medium guage wire! and velcro to hold them . just mount the ballast's remotely. I am so relieved to not have to order their ballast for 13 bucks a piece now . I can keep everything I already have and use the homedepot balast!!! I made two fixtures and it only cost me 8 bucks .
