tgrupert Posted March 3, 2003 Share Posted March 3, 2003 i got mineral mud too. it's really cheap compared to other muds. a gallon for 25 dollars is great. if you want to make it deeper you could add more mud, or yiou could get a bunch of sand (south down is a good idea) mix it with water to make mud and put it in an ice cube tray. once frozen ocationaly put a cube at the bottom of the tank bellow the substrate. now you don't have to worry about the sand covering the mud completly and clouding up the water.
