same price, same length, is the 25W any smaller than the 50W?

 

for 7 gallons of water, 25W would be fine, but should I get a 50W anyway if it's the same price and size?

I have a 6.6gal and have found it easier to control my temp where I want it with the 25W. It is not as powerful and you can make smaller adjustments with it.

Well I hope the 25 watt works out well, I am just starting to assemble the parts for my 10 gallon, it'll only hold about 7.5 when I am done though. I chose the little stealth heater too, so tell me how it goes.
