i changed my lighting about a week and a half ago from 2x15w NO flourescents to 2x36w pcs and since then i have gotten an attack of this bright green algae that i really dont like too much. i was wondering what it was and what can i possibly do to rid myself of this problem? i have turned back my light cycle and i hope that might work. any suggestions would be great.

maybe you have the samet hing i have.

on my live rock i have this neon green algae, so bright and florescent that it looks radioactive.

it's like someone took a green highlighter and marked all over my live rock.

the kind i have is non hairy, but is corraline-like. perhaps its a type of coralline.

but anyways i like mine, and i never knew what it was., and still dont kno what it is. oh well maybe ill learn from this post.
