SeaFish Posted February 23, 2003 Share Posted February 23, 2003 my water has been cloudy since i added too muich alk on accident. i was wondering what is going on. my alk is now around 10-11dKH. my ca is 450 and my ph is 8.2. what can be causing the slight cloudiness? Link to comment

tinyreef Posted February 23, 2003 Share Posted February 23, 2003 maybe we should have a '911' forum for emergencies like a few other places have. that's a high dkh but about usual for me. the cloudiness should dissipate as it's probably precipitated CaCO3. or it could be cloudy dust-like thingys. run some floss in your filter then. your pH isn't shooting up and the dkh reading isn't outlandish (imo) so it should 'settle' down. breathe in, breathe out.
