lpabsolute
I just found a small hairy crab in my 5.5g tank. It's on a lare piece of live rock that's coverd in holes and zoos. I heard that it's a good thing to take this guy out of your tank. I also heard that they might even eat zoos. My question is how is the best way to get the crab out of my tank without hurting my rock and zoos....What should i do?????? Link to comment
ReefApprentice
Honestly if it is a newer tank, I would take all the LR out with the zoas and dip the rocks in FW. The crab will come to you. Link to comment
schaadrak
Yeah, freshwater dip or a crab trap are your best bets. Link to comment
lpabsolute
Ok...so i did a freshwater dip last night. I put the rock in the water for 5 mins... and the crab didn't come out. i put the rock back in turned on its back for 5 more minutes and it didn't come out.... I did however lose my bright yellow sponge that was growing all over my rock thanks to this method. Now my sponge is black. And still didn't get the crab!!!! WTF Link to comment
Surfzup2k4
I'm telling you man. If he didn't come out, he's not in the rock. Link to comment
