ajroahkni
Garlic will rid your fish of ich w/in a few hours - at least overnight. I've only had a fish w/ ich once, and no extract. Pulled the jar of minced garlic out of the fridge, used it to "thaw" some frozen salmon scrapings in a ziploc, fed it to my damsel. Woke up 6 hours later and the ich was gone. Link to comment
SeaFish
when you guys say garlic extract, can whole garlic be cut and smashed to get the garlic juice out and use taht to soak fish food and then adminstered it to the fishes to combat ich? is this ok for a reef tank? or do i have to really go out and buy a company made garlic extract? if the homemade one is possible and works just as well, can you guys provide some info on how to prepare it and then use it correctly? ajroahkni
I used a jar of minced garlic from the produce dept. I'm sure you can smash a bulb for a similar effect. Link to comment
