Croman
Try this I have a 3 gallon and I'm getting it from ahsupply. http://www.ahsupply.com/twox.htm Link to comment
cjm033
my bookworm type lights are 11-12 inches,Chris Link to comment
LiQuiD
What are the dimensions of the tank? It would be helpful. I have 2 Bookworms on a 2.5 so I would assume it would work on a 3. Then again, one should never assume. The Bookworms are like 11" X 2". Link to comment
deacon hemp
Thanks guy's croman-this is what i was looking for but i don't know if they ship to canada. The main reef guy at my lfs said he setup a mini reef and went everywhere to find small pc's,he ended up with a crappy desk lamp?canada's weak somtimes.lol liquid-the dimentions are 9in by 9.5 it's a tall cube acrylic with black acrylic top.The bookworms seem to big. At my lfs they did have those azoo mini tanks with 7 watt pc if i got 2 and retro them would it be enought light for mush and polyps? Link to comment
LiQuiD
The Azoo's clip on so you really would not need to retro anything, just clip them on. They would be fine for shrooms and such but it is kind of deep for only 14 watts so anything that needs more light would need to be above the middle of the tank to top. Link to comment
deacon hemp
yeah they are clip on,but i don't want to not use the sweet top that came with the tank,i guess i'll keep looking for 13w pc up here,i might have to order bulbs from the states thou if i want 03's does anyboby know of a place that ships to canada? thx liquid. Croman
Have you tried JL Aquatics in Couquitlam I get some stuff from him and I live in Ontario. BC is beautiful to bad for the rain......... Link to comment
Aggie05
Check my thread about the bayco work light retrofit in the DIY section. I just hooked up a 13 watt 6400K PC over my fuge and it would be plenty for your 3 gallon. Total cost of the project was 17 dollars and the light sits in a box that looks like any other light hood.
