Satchmo
cool, I love the paintshop drawings I'd loose the bioballs. Also if your sump is being fed by gravity (ie: located under your display tank), then there's no need for the canister. It's just one more thing to fail. One pump to return the water to the tank is all you'll need. Link to comment
freakaccident
Bad idea! What if the pump pumping the water back to the tank fails? The Fluval will fill the sump up and onto your floor. Drill the tank or use a siphon overflow box. I don't see a need for the drip plate and bio balls either. Link to comment

rs25wrx
If i use a Siphon Tube with Strainer to bring the water to the sump, do i need a overflow box? Link to comment
Satchmo
No, it's the same principle. An overflow box would be a good investment though. Keeps your surface nicey nice. Link to comment
rs25wrx
Yea, I'll probably get one. Do u have any brand suggestions or aare all of them basically the same? Link to comment
freakaccident
I like the Dremel with the diamond tip brand. Cut a hole in that tank and stick a bulkhead in it if you can. Super easy to do. If you must use an overflow siphon box I can't recommend brands due to no experience. I have heard that the CPR has a flaw that can flood your living room. Maybe someone else can elaborate.
