Satchmo Posted February 19, 2003 Share Posted February 19, 2003 Search around using "amphipods" and "copepods". They're itty-bitty crustaceans. Sneak up on your tank at night with a flashlight. All the little bugs you see running around are pods. They're detrivores and do an awesome job keeping your rock matrix from getting clogged with detritus. They also reproduce freely, providing a natural self-sustaining food source for fish and inverts. Link to comment

Satchmo Posted February 19, 2003 Share Posted February 19, 2003 Yeah, that would make quick work of your pod population. You'll see them rebound over time if you were to ever get rid of the wrasse. Or setting up a refugium would help keep their numbers up. Link to comment
