hannahs
I'm thinking of starting a 3 gallon picotope. What is a good light that I could put on this tank? The one it comes with is only 9W. I would like some better lighting so I could have some corals. Does anyone know of a light that would fit on this tank? I think I would like 36W of light. Link to comment
hannahs
What do you think of this light? http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Prod...=1&N=2004&Nty=1 Do you think the 12" light would work and be enough light for corals? The Picotope tank size is 11.8" X 8.9" X 8.1". Would that light fit on there? Does anyone else have this tank, if so what light do you have on it? Link to comment

Arklier
I have the 12" Coralife on my Picotope. It just fits over the rim of the tank. I'll see if I can take some pics tonight. Link to comment

usafPilotPSU
if you want soft corals, you dont really need another light. I have a picotope with pulsing xenia, a kenya tree and some mushrooms and they're doing great. The 'Tope is an open top tank-- TONS of evap-- so adding a big azz light will make it even worse. I'd sitck with what you have now and graduate to another light if you need to down the road. CJ Link to comment

Galloping Goose
Hannahs! Here are some lights I like. They mount directly onto the tank, are sleek/modern looking and are perfect for a pico. You can go with lightbulbs like the 50/50. I actually just ordered 2 of these lights (the 13w) for my 3g pico. Hope that helps! http://www.thatpetplace.com/Products/KW/NE...s/Shopay00.aspx Link to comment
