Picotope

I like my Picotope, more to follow. I had a Red Sea Aquavase, the < 1g looked pretty darn funny with the big hairy shroom in it. Pic of the new home for my corals:

I am taking the odd rock on the left home for more filler in my 6g, that should blance the rockwork a bit. All corals where from the 1g, I cycled the new LR (2.5lbs) in 2 weeks, transported the tank to work, added LR and corals from my 1g, then added a cleanup crew.

Your tank looks really neat. What all do you have in there? How much lighting is that? Also, do you plan to add anything else? Some zoo's would look cool in there and they dont require much lighting. Tank looks good so far!

Thats a nice tank you got there! :)

Im interested in your lighting, I have seen those desk lamp style lights on a few Pico's and have always wondered if they are standard or do they have specialist bulbs??? (im from the UK so I have never seen them in any LFS over here.)

Also it seems to be coping without much in the way of flow, will this pose a problem at all?

Top stuff :)

Lights are the stock 9w 50/50, and one of the 7w fixtures I had on my Red Sea Aquavase. I had 14w total on the 1g, now I have 16w total on the three gallon. I would clip on the second blue, 7w fixture, but I am out of power outlets on work.

To answer Snow, I got the lamp off of Drs. Fosters and Smith's website, it was the second lamp I had on my 1g pico. It cost almost as much as the complete tank with filter, like $3 less. I hear that they use the 7w bulbs like the ones off this website, but I haven't purchased a replacement yet to try them out:

The flow is good, the the two HOB filters can be adjusted to increase. I currently have them setup so that they do not create bubbles, so the flow is low, but the shrooms love it. THe big guy is extending like mad, as are the green stripped.

I have pulsing xenias on the left, one hairy shroom in middle, two green stripped shrooms in front, a small 6 polyp GSP, and up on the top back, a growing 9 polyp zoa that I hope will spread.
