Arklier
Going to do an approximately 20% water change in my 3 gallon soon. What's the best way to do a water change without blowing the substrate everywhere? Link to comment

mjime714
I know this sucks as as a first post to be resurrecting a kind of old post, but I just wanted to share how I do water changes on my 1 gal tank. I use a turkey baster. You dont need to siphon, and the flow of water is controllable. It works well for me, but I dont think it will work well for tanks larger than 5 gallons because to take out 10-20% of the water will require you to do a lot of passes with it. Link to comment
brent-konieczny
Just pick the tank up and tilt it sideways until the water starts pouring out. J/K Link to comment
