ElectricMaRbles Posted May 12, 2006 Share Posted May 12, 2006 one of my regal damsels changed a very pale colour after i bought him, has a red patch around his gill/chest area, and then died 2 days later after i removed him from the tank. another one has also changed his colour so he has been removed, but i cant identify the problem, or what the disease is....any help?!? Six Posted May 24, 2006 Share Posted May 24, 2006 sounds like a bacterial infection. it could be a species problem or a shipping problem. QT any and all new fish if you intend to try this species again. That way you ensure it is healthy before adding it into your main tank. since you have a reef (any tank with inverts or live rock), you cannot safely medicate for a bacterial infection.
