Wigguh Noony
Hey Guys. My 5 gallon has been up since the summer. During the summer, I added some caulerpa. It was doing great, and it seemed like every week I had to trim it...no buts about it. Now...I have to look around the tank for the caulerpa, It's not doing well at all. Whys that? It was doing great months ago. I have the same lighting as before- I plan on adding it to a fuge that is under construction. TIA Link to comment
DeskJockey
Well it could be that it worked too good and your tank no longer has enough nutrients to sustain the caulerpa. What are your nitrate readings? Link to comment
Dave ESPI
salinity shifts and time + lack of nutrients can cause it to lack growth. Try pruning a little bit more back and besure to "PINCH OFF" the areas you pull it off of. Leaking fascular fluids can cause issues. you are best to pull out an entire runner at one time.
