RLiu818
I am going to get a custom Hood from PSL and I am going to get a 70W MH installed in it. I am wondering at what level the placement of the hood should be for there to be optimal lighting. Is it ok for the hood to rest directly on top of the tank, or should the hood be elevated x inches? RLiu818
What I am probably gonna get is similar to what this guy got... http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/showthread...pply+liquidator I noticed he had his MH in the front half and the PC in the back half. i am wondering if this is the optimal layout or is it better to have the MH in the back half and the PC in the front half. Thanks again. Link to comment
jflysmooth
Do we know how big your tank is yet? I don't think it matters if its in front or back. How far you place it away from the tank depends on your hood. If youre getting one exactly like Chris' then you can prolly just put it right on the top as its already elevated. Link to comment
