Sausage
I was thinking of placing a sheet of acrylic or glass between my lighting and water surface to prevent condensation of water on the fluorescent tubes every morning. Is acrylic suitable? Will it prevent certain useful wavelengths from reaching the tank? Link to comment
fish04
I don't recommend using a barrier between the lights and the water surface (most people won't either). All glass, or plexiglass reduce light intensity. I don't think it's needed. You really don't have to worry about water splash unless you have the lights an inch off the surface. I clean my bulbs when I do a water change, it's not that big of a deal. Link to comment
Toyfreek
I gotta agree with fish04, There are many reasons not to use glass and only a couple in favor. HTH, Toy Link to comment
