I used distilled water because i didnt have any RO system (i just ordered one). I mixed the water with salt, brought the temp of the water to match the tank then added the water. Well The ph went from 8.2 to 7.5 im experiancing some life die off such as anomenes and others. Will there be any perm damage to the rock until my reef buffer arrives on tuesday? Link to comment
Physh1 Posted February 10, 2003 Share Posted February 10, 2003 Usually you'll see a pH dip when your cycling and that is normal. How "new" is this tank? If it is still cycling the dieoff is normal and within 2-4 weeks the tanks finishes its cycle. A water change is a good idea and yoyur pH chould balance.
