JoeyG Posted February 8, 2003 Share Posted February 8, 2003 Go to the hardware store by a plastic or acrilic cutter it looks like a razor blade kinda. 1. Take all your measurments, use a square and make your cut lines. 2. Take a straight edge(clamp it in place)use it to brace your cutting tool. 3. Put blade against straight edge and pull it towards you. repeat this until you have a score cut about 1/16 of an inch. 4. Take two hands snap it in half(thats the scary part). and walla! Thats it dude! Good luck:) P.S. Make sure you keep even pressure when you cutting. Keep it even the whole way down cut line, Later Link to comment
DLN Posted February 8, 2003 Share Posted February 8, 2003 You need a special saw blade for the best results. One with a zero degree rake. That will not grab and crack the acrylic. Also while cutting you need to either be constantly pouring water on the cut or you can use a bit of anti-freeze to keep the acrylic from gumming up. Link to comment
