Brooklyn
Hello, lately I've noticed the temperature of the water in my 2.5 pico fluctuates regularly. The temperature will drop to 80 degrees, the heater will kick in and raise the temp to 81 degrees and shut off, then the water will cool to 80 degrees and the cycle will begin again. My question is, will my livestock be stressed by this? Link to comment

brent-konieczny
A: If your inhabitants don't looked stressed you don't need to worry. B: If your inhabitants do look stressed consider a better heater. (considering they aren't stressed from water parameters.) Yes it's that simple Link to comment

There are larger flucuations like that in the ocean naturally. Unless the cycle is like four or five times a second, I think they're fine. Link to comment

Daemonfly
Probably not even a full degree, depending on the accuracy of whatever you're using to measure. Either way, not a problem. Link to comment
