i've had my tank set up for about 9 months now, and i just added 7lbs of more live rock a couple days ago.  no ammonia spikes so far, no nitrites, but trates at 10.

think i should do a water change?

what do ya'll think is too high for nitrates?

thanks

From what I have learnt so far, I think its very wise to do a water change.

I think for a reef tanks been running this long, with all the corals and stuff its a little high.

5ppm should be the max in a reef tank.

Hope this helps.

The live rock is stressed enough from shipping dry, I would DEFFINATELY do a w/c. it will help controll the dreaded 10 month ALGAE bloom potential.
