Pinner Reef
Ok so there is this hitchiker that came with my LR. It's the brown spot which is about the size of a silver dollar. Its hard to the touch. There are three spires which have grown bout 1/8". In the center of the spires is a single cylinder, attached to the sides of this cylinder are a bunch of half cylinders. Recently the fringes of the patch and the base of the largest spire have been whitening. Thats the best desription I can give ya but any help would be useful... oh and sorry for the crumby pics i'm tryin to find a better camera to shoot with. Maybe after I get some decent shots I'll make a contest: first positive ID wins free frag! -Pinner Link to comment
MrDumass
First guess would be some sort of SPS...do you ever see any microscopic polyps extend?? that would be a hell of a catch... Link to comment

Ya come to think of it I have seen little hair looking things extend from the half cylinders on the sides of the spires but I thought it may have been some sort of algae. Link to comment
