Foogoo
Would it be a bad idea to run two 36 watt cf bulbs on a ballast rated for 70 watts? i have it running a single 55 watt right now.. Link to comment
Chamkeeper
Most of the ballasts I have seen run about their rated wattage. I had 2 36w on a mag ballast and it worked fine. I have since upgraded so I have no long term info. Link to comment
wetworx101
do you mean two bulbs on a ballast rated for one 70 watt, or two bulbs on a ballast rated for two 35 watts?? I know on regular flo bulbs it is not possible to run two bulbs on a ballstst rated for one.. even if the wattages add up. Like running two 15 watt bulbs on a 30x1 ballast...it wont work (unless you are running 220 instead of 110, then there is a trick you can do...) Link to comment
Foogoo
It is a workhorse ballast rated for 70 watts. I am currently running one 56 watt and would like to run two 36 watts. I believe workhorse ballasts are able to run more than one bulb at a time...anyone disagree? Link to comment
