aquaman22 Posted March 13, 2006 Share Posted March 13, 2006 i am new to pico tanks the smallest tank i have had is a 12 gallon. i bought a 1 gallon and i have a pico filter and a 50-50 10 watt coralife bulb plus a lamp that is right next to the tank. i have some ?s what coral/fish/shrimp can i put in there and how long should i let it cycle? i used drinking water and i put cured live rock in there! how often should i do water changes? thanx alot for the help i am new to such a small tank Link to comment

brent-konieczny Posted March 14, 2006 Share Posted March 14, 2006 In my 1gal jar (about 3/4gal used volume) I have a nassarius and a blue leg. I wouldn't put anything else in because there is a bristleworm who takes care of the rest of the cleaning. So thats my opinion of a correctly stocked 1 gal minus the coral. You could also get some micro stars (I hear they are awesome and stay smaller than a penny). Link to comment
