hey guys i have a NC6 that has been up for about 3 months and im going to be starting a 2.5 this summer when i got to college, here are specs so far

Tank: 2.5 AGA

Filter: AC20

Heater: 25w (if i can find one)

Lighting: now when it comes to lighting im having a hard time deciding, which of these would you reccomend

Coralife 2x18watt

or Current-USA 1x18watt

any opinions/experiences regarding these lights?

thank you very much

I would definately say no to the current 1x18 setup. IMO rip off for what you get. I wouldn't really recommend the coralife one either. Instead check these out. The ODYSSEA one is a better deal than the current 1x18 http://www.aquatraders.com/index.asp?PageA...PROD&ProdID=259

Instead of the coralife I would say the catalina setup 2x13 which they have in 8", 10", or 12" for $30 http://www.catalinaaquarium.com/product_in...roducts_id=1230

this is a pretty good little 12" fixture even though its kind of on the expensive side because of the moon lights, it's what I will be putting on my 4 gallon finnex tank but would probably work just as well if not better on a 2.5 AGA

well im only planning on keeping softies and maybe 1 or 2 LPS. 2x18 isnt goin to be too much for the softies will it?

Nope. All my zoos are doing great, ricordea are all growing & splitting, purple star polyps are spreading like the weeds they are ;)

2x18w still wouldn't be close to the ammount of light these corals get in the ocean.
