sto'stimemachine
Looking for some better lights for my Son's 10G. He has softies with no plans for SPS or clams. I'm leaning toward the 2x32w setup because of its dual spectrum actinics and dual spectrum daylights but I've heard lots of people say they like the 96w setup as well. Which would you get? Thanks in advance Link to comment

snostorm
I think a 96w quad on a 10gallon would be fine. I have one on a 16g bow and It does a pretty good job. I actually keep some LPS in there too. I have a frogspawn that is growing pretty well. Link to comment
sto'stimemachine
Thanks for the reply. So you don't feel there is any benifit to the dual spectrum actinics and dual spectrum daylights? Link to comment
Daemonfly
If you get a good reflector, I'd say 2x36w would be better. More options, plus the 96w quad is quite inefficient in both the bulb design itself as well as reflector. I'd get the dual spectrum actinics over a single blue or 03 bulb. Link to comment
egdevilboy
I think the 96w would be overkill. The 2x32w would provide perfect lighting for most anything (except clams and SPS) Link to comment
