redline
Would a flame hawkfish be suitable in a 20h? I also heard they like to eat shrimp.. is this true and does anyone out there have any experience with them in a nano? Link to comment
el pez
they are really cool fish. they will eat shrimp that fit in their mouth. but a 20h could house one. they dont get too big and they dont swim around much Link to comment
Rocket_155
make sure you have alot of current as they like oxygen-rich, moving current. Also they like to hide in deep crevices and caves. HTH Link to comment

redline
what about snails and hermits? will they eat them or is it just confined to shrimp? Also would pairing a flame and a pygmy angel in a 20h be a bad idea? Link to comment
Djm9288
They have occasionally been known to nip at snails and hermits, but I wouldnt be worried. Link to comment
TheIceberg
In my experience, if the shrimp is bigger than the flamehawk, depending upon the particular hawk, you will probably be alright. I have had more than one flamehawk with cleaner shrimp and coral banded shrimp. They haven't tried anything that I ever saw with either one. However, I think that a smaller peppermint shrimp got taken out by my older flamehawk. Link to comment
