floppyfish
Well my Halimeda was green yesterday and is now white with green spores all around it. Is it going sexual? What should I do take it out? Or what? Matt Link to comment
printerdown01
I don't have a clue what the dots are on your hali! But, the white coloration is actually due to the death of the hali. Do not fret, this is normal. This stuff grows stalks that grow and grow, and then die. Their calcified skeleton will disolve and be reabsorbed by your tank. The hali will then grow more stalks. Can I get a closer pic of the "spots" -presumably another sp of alga growing on your dying hali (my guess is a cyano bacteria). Link to comment
floppyfish
Oh yeah, I've had plenty(well some) die on me in the time I've had this plant. I guess I never noticed the little spores on the leaves before is all. Thought it might go sexual or something. Link to comment
