Wigguh Noony
Hey Guys.. I went to my LFS and saw a small display with ghost shrimp. It was probably an eclipse 12, with live rock, corals, and ghost shrimp. I am thinking about getting about 10-15 for my 125 gallon. What are the pros and cons of having them in my tank? Spencerx
are u sure they were ghost shrimp?? im pretty sure ghost shrimp (like the kind people feed to their fish?) are freshwater. if you have anything else in your tank then they will be eaten probally. Maybe you meant peppermint shrimp or something?? Link to comment

justin699
actually a ghost shrimp as most people know them is exclusively saltwater, they burrow deep into the sand in mudflats, they are native the the west coast of USA and probably other places. They are, however temperate creatures. http://www.mbayaq.org/efc/living_species/d...Ori=1&inhab=456 This is a true ghost shrimp, there is however a freshwater shrimp that goes by the name ghost shrimp, usually used as a feeder.
