MikeR.
bought some zoo's last week, baseball sized rock, zoos took awhile to come out, a few areas appeared to have a whitish material around them. was going to give them a bit more time before i dug in and scrubbed them down.....BUT...this morning when i checked the tank out it appears that the zoos that had the whitish stuff around them have been scraped clean off the rocks.... What would have cleaned them off? would my brittle star have cleaned them off if they were dying? I have seen some sort of tubular worm in the rock, come out around the zoos (not a bristle worm) but i doubt he could have munched down on all that have been removed.. I guess it a blessing because i dont have to scrub it now and the healthy appearing zoos were left untouched.......just wondering what could have done such a good job Link to comment

Fishfreak218
it could have been some kind of fungus that rotted the base and then the current ripped it up.... JMO Link to comment
